Everything on the globe is connected and for the first time in history the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals represent a common framework for citizens, companies, countries and politicians to face the challenges ahead.
Our mission with the 17 Walls project is to make the Global Goals physical and visible in a beautiful and artistic way. Inextricable high quality art, unfolded in our common space, providing a common frame of reference to lead the way for a sustainable future.
What
17 Walls is a street art project transforming the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals into 17 iconic murals in Aarhus city centre.
The 17 murals will be an artistic and powerful manifestation in Aarhus that will actualise the Global Goals and make them relevant and accessible to all.
How
The project is financed by foundations and companies that want to help brand Aarhus as an innovative city with a vision - a city that values art and works together for a sustainable future.
17 of the world's best street artists have accepted the challenge to carry out a mural each inspired by the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

When
Timeline for the 17 Walls project
Where
All 17 murals will be within walking distance of the historic center of Aarhus. VisitAarhus and ReThinkers will offer artwalks in three different languages when the project is finished.
Who
17 Walls is a project initiated by hART Unlimited that has close ties to the international street art community and has selected a range of recognised street artists with which we will realise the project together.
Maybe we will have to make a few changes doe to the artists schedule, as we can not make binding contracts before we are ready with the funding to the project as a hole.
